Not sticky enough
Some of you have noticed that your profile avatar and nickname is having trouble "sticking."
For those impacted (thankfully it's only a few of you) in Edit Profile selecting a different photo or nickname works fine but every time you try and save, it just reverts back to your original photo or nickname. Repeated efforts to update fail and no amount of cursing, pleading, tears, or prayers seem to have any impact.
Rest assured, we feel your pain (my profile is one of those afflicted). I think we've figured the source of this bug and have a fix scheduled first thing Monday morning. I'll keep you posted with updates on this blog.
UPDATE: As of January 7th 10am PST, this issue has been fixed. Thanks for your patience everyone.
Image Trouble?
We had a hiccup with our image serving system that displays your userpic in the Recent Reader widget. We've identified the problem and are running a script that is fixing this. Afterwards, we'll be making some modifications to prevent this from happening again.
This incident is unrelated to any truck drivers.
UPDATE: GeologyJoe asks images need to be uploaded. The trouble was with our caching layer so thankfully no. We are retrieving all missing images from our database so there will be no need to re-upload your images.
UPDATE: All images are re-loaded and everything should be back to normal. Thanks for your patience everyone!
Trouble in DNS land
Unrelated to our shuffling around of servers, we seem to have run into a storm of DNS trouble which has thrown our site offline. The Recent Reader widget is also down. We'll update this post as we get more news.
UPDATE (7:39) : The site and widgets are back up but still response is intermittent.
UPDATE (8:10) : Looks like the storm has cleared, everything normal so far.
Working out some kinks
We're working out post-integration kinks and the site is running w-a-a-a-a-y slow. Rest assured, no data is being dropped and the Recent Reader widget is running just fine. We're just having some issues with a squirrelly database.
The team has been on it since last night and I'll continue to post updates here on progress.
UPDATE: We've got a temporary fix in place so the site is running normally. We are continuing to work behind the scenes to get this resolved permanently. Shiny new servers need to some additional spit and polish.
UPDATE: We're back in business. Anyone having some problems logging into their accounts or any other UI shenanigans that has not contacted customer service, please do so we can be sure we've taken care of everyone.
Insecticide Needed: We’ve Found A Bug
We found a bizarre error when we pushed the Yahoo! IDs live today. We decided, rather than put all of you through a painful login twilight zone, that it would be better for our members if we restricted access to the site until we figure this one out.
So, while we tear our hair out fixing this one, relax away from your computer for a little while. We'll be back ASAP!
PS Judy and Johnnie rule!
UPDATE: We're back up but there is still some wonky behavior. Thanks for your patience and your emails of, erm, love.
Site stats down — fixed!
We are aware of the problem and working on it. More info soon.
Update @ 5:27p:
This has been fixed. Thanks to Allen Yu for teaching us the ways to actually get someone to look at our trouble ticket. Apparently listing it as a Pri 1 isn't enough to be taken seriously. Now we know the code words. We're still finding out whether we can recover the stats for the users who weren't tracking.
We’re working on the auto-adding of co-authors exploits
Thank you again for your patience. More soon.
UPDATE: We have plugged this one too.

New Spam Variety – Co-Author Invites
We're working on plugging the hole that allows people to send this request (see below) out to a lot of people on the site. We don't think it's the user whose account is "Blogmemes" so don't flame her, please. And, sorry we're a bit slow to jump on this, but a very close MyBlogLog relation got married this weekend. We're working up to the point where Yahoo! natives can address this problem without one of the original crew, but we're not there yet.
Hi rafer,
I would like to add you as a co-author of my MyBlogLog community below:

UPDATE: The spam hole has been plugged. The emails that have been sent are still active, but no new bogus co-author emails should go out. We'll delete the bogus co-authors over the next couple of days. Thanks for everyone's patience.
Operational Limits of Humans
I'm filing this under "Bugs." The whole team is moving to California this week. I'm filling in for Eric for customer service until Monday. Please forgive us any delays and lapses.
