Say Goodbye To Alexa Redirects
This will affect only a small portion of our users, less than 1% of our users, .13% to be exact, but we still wanted to post this to the community at large. We are stripping all Alexa redirects so that each community using an Alexa redirect as their Url will now instead point to the blog in question.
We think this makes more sense for members who want to see what your actual url is and it's better for you from an SEO standpoint anyway.

kudos. i’ve been annoyed by the alexa redirects for a while now.
you would think that people would realize that gaming alexa doesn’t _actually_ help their site.

Can someone explain to me how this “fad” of the Alexa redirect came about anyhow?
How could anyone believe that a redirect through another site would benefit them more than a direct link to their blogs?
You’re helping a lot of confused people by taking this action – great work!

The next thing I’d foresee would be for the Ninjas to do would be using a TinyURL for the original redirect that’ll be script hunted down on your end.
Consider killing those as well when you deploy the ‘Terminator Scripts’.

Gaming Alexa may help with getting more money on PayPerWhatever sites, but it’s a pain to everyone else and doesn’t really help anyone know accurate reader stats. Kudos for getting rid of the ridiculous redirect!

Its better to embed alexa widget in blog. It will give maximum rank at alexa, as i got.

MyBlogLog stripping away Alexa redirects
MyBlogLog is now starting to strip Alexa redirects from your profile. So if you have one, I suggest you update it soon.

As I understand, Alexa rankings are really not very meaningful unless you are in the top 10,000–or less.
