We would hate to be accused of alienating the cute chicks

So right before MyBlogLog left for the holidays, Philip Kaplan, aka Pud from F*cked Company, sent me an email asking for larger pictures on profiles. He was disappointed that he couldn't see more of the cute girls who were swinging by his blog. I mentioned that we were trying to find an elegant way to keep people from having to upload their pictures a second (or third, or fourth...) time. And this is what he had to say:

seems to me only us geeks would care about a more efficient way of uploading
pics (from other services, etc.)

And then:

pps- you are alienating cute chicks.. seriously, the only reason they join
social sites (myspace, mybloglog) is to show off their hotness.
seriously...they are totally competitive that way. pics are a must..

Well, doesn't that just put everything in perspective.

While I'm not qualified to speak to the motivations of the fairer sex, it did get me thinking. MyBlogLog is dedicated to being as transparent as possible to our members; this is true. And I still think that it's worth finding a solution that allows our members to take advantage of the pictures that they have posted elsewhere. But, thought I, maybe we should just get something up in the meantime for the people who cared about it. People like Pud. And in all of two hours, Steve had member pics up and running as a holiday present for you.

So get to it already. Just look for the link under your profile pic. Make Pud and Steve proud. Everybody's got a little hotness in them and we want to see it!
